Under the shipyard’s 10th anniversary, Sasga Yachts decided to redesign the first Menorquin model built when its adventure began in 2010, the Menorquin 42. The first unit has been built a Flybridge and is already sailing in Catalan waters with its new owner.
The new Menorquin 42, with a seafaring spirit and a more modern design, in which functionality plays a leading role, offers the possibility of experiencing unique and wellness moments on board. The craftsmanship, the attention to detail, the refined finishings and the selection of high-quality material, make this boat the perfect place to enjoy sailing.
With 11.98 m length and 4 m beam, the new model maintains the standard layout with a spacious saloon on the main deck; and an expansive galley, two double cabins and two heads, on the lower deck.
Also, the Menorquin 42 is available with the galley up layout, allowing another double cabin on the lower deck, increasing the boat’s total capacity to 8 berths.
We find comfortable access to the cockpit through the gangway composed by a stern jumper that comes as standard with the boat to get into the boat. Additionally, the broader side decks facilitate mobility from stern to bow.
Getting into the main deck or saloon stands out at the new console’s starboard side, optimised and modern. The pilot seat with a higher position provides greater visibility. The front view has also been improved with installing two larger windows on the bow, instead of the three windows of the previous version, contributing to a more comfortable sailing experience.
Downstairs, on the lower deck, we find on the port side a newly redesigned galley, providing 25% more storage capacity.
Likewise, the redesign of the Menorquin 42’s heads, are equipped with new taps and shower enclosures, achieving more generous use of space and superior functionality.
The Owner’s cabin, located on the bow, has been equipped with more storage and improved finishings and reducing mouldings, providing a feeling of more spaciousness and luminosity. On the other hand, due to its optimisation, the Guest cabin offers more free space on the starboard side and enhanced light thanks to a practicable porthole, 50% larger than her predecessor, ensuring healthier ventilation of the cabin.
Finally, one of the most interesting innovations presented by the new Menorquín 42, is an enormous and more complete Flybridge. With a new interior space distribution, offering the possibility of installing more equipment that includes a new four guest U-shaped dinette convertible into a solarium, and free space on the port side to install the optional unit with grill, fridge and sink to enjoy with privileged views.
