Due to boat show’s worldwide being cancelled or postponed due to the ongoing pandemic, Ancasta created it’s first Virtual Boat Show over a ten-day period this month.
Ashley Overton, Ancasta Sales Director had this to say,
"While being a pleasant distraction for boaters, the event aimed to encompass as many factors of a real show as possible. We created a destination for visitors to view boats of their choosing via 360-degree virtual tours and compare and contrast the different models. More in-depth information on specifications was available and Ancasta staff were on-hand to answer any technical questions, just as you would expect at a normal show, like Cannes or Southampton."
The response was incredible - the marina showcased the largest display of Beneteau boats ever in one place and saw over 7,000 visitors over the course of the show. Interest and talks were made from Peru, New Zealand, UK and the US. From those talks are now a number of new owners eagerly waiting for the time they can visit and take ownership once the restrictions have been lifted.
Only a quarter of the visitors to the show had been to Ancasta.com before and had reignited the interest of old customers. The most popular boats of the show were the Prestige 460S, the Oceanis 51.1 and the magnificent Lagoon Seventy8. Whilst Ancasta are being sensitive to the situation, they are working pro-actively to not let lockdown get in the way of making plans and fulfilling the appetite for buyers, which has proven to be there in abundance.
Due to the clear demand and numerous conversations off the back of this virtual event, Ancasta will be hosting another virtual boat show but for Used Boats in May. With existing vendors keen to sell their boats and owners looking to sell to upgrade, this will act as the perfect platform to present used stock for sale between the 21st and 25th May 2020.
The Ancasta Virtual Used Boats Show will be an added opportunity for those thinking of selling their boat this spring. “As long as an Ancasta broker can gain access to the boat, Ancasta will take care of the rest.”
