The London Yacht Show was launched less than a month ago after being given a new lease of life and a complete rebrand from what it once was. In this same period of time, the show has managed to secure exhibition slots for some of the worlds most popular brands - notably Princess and Sunseeker. They help to make up a dozen brands who have committed to the show during its first-wave announcement. LYS attendees will be lucky enough to see brand new vessels showcased by both Sunseeker and Princess.
The shows reboot is part of an attempt to make LYS a significant feature within the International boating calendar. This vision was backed up almost instantly by the two giant brand names, which has really excited the president of the event, Andrew Williams.
Formerly the London on Water Boat Show, the event was picked up by Informa, who you may recognise from the luxury boating scene already. They host two of the world’s largest shows - Monaco and Fort Lauderdale - so LYS is sharing company with the very best in the industry. Partnered with British Marine and St. Katherine Docks, you can see a real touch of class has been added to proceedings, with VIP Access and Elite Experience packages being offered to guests. On its own glamorous website, LYS is described ad London’s ‘most exceptional showcase of yachts, boats and luxury’.
Everything on offer at the show has been designed and organised off the back off careful research that’s been conducted to make sure that the London audience gets access to the right products or services, and vice versa.
As an initial example of what you can expect to see at the all-new luxury show on St. Katherines Docks, there will be eight superyacht berths right on the Thames where you’ll be able to see some of the most impressive and expensive designs that the industry has to offer. These are accompanied by another 60 berths for luxury yachts and other boats - promising a huge variety of models and inspirations. On top of this, two huge floating villages for you to browse through with luxury yachting and lifestyle products. The Marble Quay is an area that’ll present impressive supercars, bikes and trailer boats too.
If you want to go the extra mile, floating champagne bars and VIP Lounges are also onsite.
“We’re delighted to host the show at St. Katharine Docks,” commented Paul Tetlow, marina general manager at St. Katharine Docks. “The show allows us the opportunity to showcase what St. Katharine Docks offers to a very relevant and international boating market, including boat owners, suppliers and marine industry professionals. We’re pleased to be working with Informa and British Marine and are confident that visitors and exhibitors to the show will have great success too.”
The Show commences Wednesday 8th May if you’re a VIP Elite guest or for press, and the general admission will be able to start their experience between 9th-12th May.
